About us

The Inner West Community Bands (IWCB) consists of two concert bands rehearsing in Sydney.

IWCB Wind Symphony
The IWCB Wind Symphony rehearses on Tuesday evenings in Marrickville. Each year the band performs four themed concert programs in addition to performing at community events, and hosting our biannual Kids’ Proms concerts.

Founded in 2010, the ensemble — formerly known as the Inner West Community Band — has approximately 55 members, and is directed by Joshua McNulty.

IWCB Concert Band
Launched in 2025, the IWCB Concert Band rehearses on Wednesday evenings in Concord. The Concert Band currently consists of approximately 30 members, and is directed by Danika Pink.

IWCB aims to provide community members of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to play, enjoy and perform great music, while having fun and becoming better musicians. We are passionate about providing a musical presence within the community, and engaging a diverse audience through the performance of music from many different styles, in a great range of settings.
