SECOND BAND STARTING IN JULY 2025 ON WEDNESDAYS

Due to the demand on our waitlist we will be starting a second band in July this year! Rehearsals will be held on Wednesday nights. A minimum standard of AMEB Grade 5 is recommended. Please register your interest here. More information coming soon!

There are no auditions; places are subject to availability.

If a place is available we’ll invite you to a rehearsal so you can try it out and see if we are the right ensemble for you!

A minimum standard of AMEB Grade 7 is recommended. We play a range of repertoire at the grade 4 and grade 5 wind band level. This includes symphonic wind band repertoire, alongside popular and jazz tunes, musical theatre numbers, movie themes and orchestral transcriptions.

If you play piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion or string bass, please get in touch!

We accept new members at the start of each term as we begin new music.


Term starting dates for 2025:

  • Concert 1 – Tuesday 4 February (performance 29 March)
  • Concert 2 – Tuesday 29 April (performance 28 June)
  • Concert 3 – Tuesday 15 July (performance 13 Sep)
  • Concert 4 – Tuesday 7 Oct (performance 6 Dec)

Rehearsal details

When: Tuesday evenings (from 7pm)
Where: Wilkins Public School, Marrickville
2025 Fees: $65 per term

Youth Band

IWCB welcomes players of all ages into our ensemble, however we are also seeking expressions of interest for a new Youth Band, aimed at older primary school and younger high school students.
